A Life Lesson

maya angelou quote_learning to love white_leibster award

Well, it’s been an eventful month! My lack of posting in the past week or so has been due to the fact that I am no longer jobless. After a full three months of job searching, emails, CVs, knocking on doors, and having my darling Fredrik correct every last thing I’ve written in Swedish, I am happy to say that I not only got one job, but TWO fantastic jobs! The only “problem” with getting two jobs is that it also requires making a difficult decision. Through this grueling process of applying for jobs (some of you might know what I’m talking about!), I’ve truly learned a lot myself and have new understanding of the quote above by Maya Angelou. This lyx problem, or luxury problem, as Fredrik would say, did not come easy and was the result of some good old fashioned persistence and hard-work. In the end I know I have chosen the right job for me, one which will allow me to work with furniture and interior styling daily and develop that designer seed inside of me. It’s growing. I can feel it.

For those of you who might be job searching or facing tough decisions, I encourage you to stay positive and ask for what you want. I really believe that when you want something bad enough, it finds you, but not without a lot of hard work.

Happy Tuesday!! Looking forward to a family Skype date tomorrow. :)
